KILL MASAKO, IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE HE'S SHITTT, ETC. ETC.

Not to say that I was lonely at all this weekend, it's rather an inside joke between myself, , Horoko and John from Youmacon. Or a reference. Either or, WE SHARED IT.

So yeah, I was at Youmacon this weekend and I got back last night (even though I didn't want to) from probably the best weekend of my entire life, considering how actually terrible my life has been for the past two years. I travels to Detroit on very lengthy flights while working on a very lengthy essay that I know I did poorly on, but OH WELL. So I get in and meet up with my friend and her dad and we head off to the Ren Cen (avoiding traffic of ALL KINDS) to finally make it and I got to stand outside in refreshing Detroit cold (which I soon regretted on Sunday).
Now I honestly thought I had gotten over this, but when I get inside, I am literally shaking in FEAR because I'm about to meet my friends, people who I've basically known since the beginning of this year, and others whom I've admired for longer. I hate how fate decides to be bitchier to me because while we're waiting to check in, comes off the elevator to check in and I'm all "SHIT, WHY AM I STILL SHAKING, HE'S BEHIND A POLE".
We make it up to our rooms (after I hang out with my friend and get my reg...and find in the elevator) and my friend basically tells me, since Kira told me just to come on up to the TFS suite, to go and relax because I'm equally as cool (_bullll) I head on up (65 FLIGHTS) and I found the room from the LOUD NOISES COMING FROM THE END OF THE HALL THAT ARE FROM NOWHERE ELSE. I turn around and run when MY SAVING GRACES APPEARED (Kira and Nowacking/Jessi), so we make our way to the suite together.
Yeahhh, the suite was fantastic (I'm going to ignore my anti-social jeans that have pen all over them) and so full of life and love <333 I first got to meet Kirbopher (more officially), , HeyItsThatSean, Katy, , , Linkara, Horoko, John, and 4352752387597497342 people that I can't remember off the top of my head. And I finally got to meet and his lovely wife, Marianne Miller, two people whom I never thought I'd actually ever meet. The rest of Team Four Star came around at later times (Taka, Masako, Gan), Sonny Strait and some of his friends came in and I basically hung out with everyone in the suite until 1 or 2 am and I went to go get some shut eye.

On Friday, I mainly hung around Katy, John, Emmy, Allison, Julie, , Chauna, Kira, and Horoko (we mixed around a lot, just kept on shufflin'). Opening Ceremonies were super fun and we got to sneak in early because apparently we're friends with guests (lol, I totally shouldn't have been included, but okay). And most of the day consisted of just chilling out with super amazing homies at the food court (mainly Kira, Horoko, and John as we proceeded to laugh our asses off for an hour or more). We visited the Dealer's Room and Artist Alley (well, I did with Kira) and then piled upstairs to the suite (taking lol idk, A HALF HOUR just to get upstairs) when it turns out "LET'S GO TO DINNER!"
Dinner was probably a highlight for me, honest to God. We walked out to this lovely little hole in the wall restaurant in Downtown and I got to share my table with Martin, Mariane, and Katy. AND MY GOD, I LOVED THIS DINNER, IT WAS SO FANTASTICALLY FUNNNNNNN. We had toasts and everything and it was still so lively. Talking with everyone was fantastic and what made me feel so..."wanted" (idk a word for it) was that Martin tried to include me in the conversation (which I understand why others wouldn't, so don't feel bad). Walking back, I got really close to one of Sonny Strait's friends who tagged along with us and I guess I got my official "job" for the con (I'M A GROUPIE, LAWLL??). I didn't get to make it to the 18+ panels, but I heard so much about them the next day that it mattered NOT!

Saturday was basically my big day, and my last day with everyone. Chauna and I barely made it to the TFS panel (THANK YOU KATY AND JOHN AGAIN FOR SAVING THOSE SEATS) because I had to paint her for her Narsha cosplay. The TFS panel was fantastic and Lord Slug had me in stitches most of the time . After their intermission, the YGO Abridged Panel began, and OH MY GOD, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY MADE ME SMILE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! The panel itself was really fun and the movie...oh god, THAT MOVIE WAS WONDERFUL <333333
After panels, our group headed out to lunch, after getting stopped a few times because Martin was with us. Lunch was laughable and after we headed over to the YGO photoshoot where I got to take some pictures for a Joey cosplayer and see a bunch of other gatherings shooting (I wanted to sneak over to the Code Geass one *o*). did a fantastic job organizing everyone, I tip my hat to her!
During Martin, Marianne, and Kirb's autograph line, we basically just chilled out in the lobby for an hour or so until we went up to get Kira for dinner. Dumb shit with my roommate happened that prevented me from going out with my friends, but it got settled and I hung out with them before we went up to the TFS suite and we conversed about porn bloopers and what not before we left. We didn't stay up there very long, unfortunately because Kaiser, Taka and Lani (I think) had to go do interviews so we vacated the suite and I just hung out with Katy and crew until I got so exhausted that I could barely sketch. I left the room with hugs and goodbyes to everyone because I'd be leaving Detroit long before everyone woke up.

I think my only regrets about Youmacon are that I didn't get to talk with as many people as I waned (which isn't a huge one, but some people seemed just as introverted as me and I wanted to have them open up a little) and I never got to say my proper goodbyes. Literally, I got to say bye to five people before I left (Katy, Chauna, Julie, Jessi, Kira). Even so, I'm definitely making up for it with my slew of holiday gifts I have planned because I was such a dick at prioritizing for Youmacon.

Honestly, this convention was beyond a dream come true and I can't believe that it had even happened to begin with. Yomacon was honestly the highlight of my entire year, and it was definitely worth it missing all that I did of school for it. I am so grateful to every single person that I met at the con and I regret not being able to see some people. I love everyone that I was with, honestly, I was crying over you guys at the airport and when I got to California. I love all of you and I hope to see all of you and more at next year's Youmacon and more conventions to come!!!
